Today my Aunt Carol called me and asked me to help her out with something. She needed a unique table gift for a fundraiser. The fundraiser is for Bethany, a transitional home for women. They have an auction every year, all the women get together and each decorate a table for a wonderful lunch. Each table is different. The table seats 8-10 people. This year the table my aunt was helping out with was a Paris theme. I was thrilled to help. I made these fresh lavender bunches with a handmade Paris tag. I stamped the tag and hand glittered it. They smell soooo goood!

Roses
Antonio (my 2 year old) and I were picking some roses for a new vase I just got. It's a pretty large glass urn vase, I love how all of the flowers drip over the sides. Antonio is more interested in the smaller flowers, sometimes he does not know his own strenght and he pulls the entire plant right out of the ground. I just put it back when he is not looking. He will learn soon enough. Hope everyone is having a good week!

FINISHED!
Today I finished the landscaping job in Long Beach on the Tropicals. We all felt so good after as the final result was stunning. I look forward to returning in a couple of weeks to see how everything fills out.
This was the most difficult landscaping job I have ever experienced. The challenge with the invasive roots was indescribable. Digging under these conditions is not only taxing but emotionally draining. You would dig for ten minutes only to get down a couple of inches. When you are planting 15 gallon plants that is discouraging. It's like digging through roots and very little dirt. But with the right tools (most of them ended up broken) and the will power we made it through. I am so proud of my gang that helped me out with this project. Most of all Curtis! He was the trooper that went with me week after week. I can not thank him enough.
In the end it was all worth it, the homeowners are happy and that makes me happy. Every drop of sweat, blister and ROOT was worth this end result! The pictures say it all.

Welcome Home Hero!
My sons godfather John came home from Iraq. He is only home for three weeks and will have to go back for nine months. John is in the Army, he is a medic and we are very proud of him. It took my son a little time to warm up to his godfather since he is only 2. Once he did they were two peas in a pod!
I am keeping busy with the new business. I have tons of holiday decor shipments comeing in and I cant wait for the next big sale. Stay tuned for dates!
